Professor Fainsod is a professor of biochemistry and the Wolfson Family Chair in Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University where he also serves as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs. The primary focus of Dr. Fainsod’s research has been the genetic regulation of embryonic development in vertebrates. Presently, Professor Fainsod’s group is studying the molecular link between fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and autism spectrum disorder.
